Passion plus Need equal to Success

I have been doing, writing and blogging different kinds of topics and works that I love to do most. I must admit that over 70% of my blog contents and daily works I am doing now are what I am really passionate about and only 20% - 30% are what I thought that other people will love or useful for them. I try to read more books and articles to generate good ideas. I spent lots of time in thinking how I could become a successful businessman and make good money in life.

But my dreams did not come true so far. What went wrong? Then I stop, evaluate and reflect on what I have been doing. I talk to some good friends, meet experienced business men, and read more great books and articles from business gurus and professional authors. And I come to see the very basic common idea of doing successful business which I make a new equation as “Passion + Need = Success”.

Why “Passion + Need = Success”?

Here is my thought! I may have a good job or business in which I really enjoy spending my time, knowledge and investment. But if what I am doing is NOT the needs of my customers or targeted groups, then they will run away sooner or later because they just simply do not need it.

On the other hand, if I have to do ONLY the needs of my customers or targeted groups, I will run away sooner or later because it will not last long to stand where I do not have passion or enough knowledge. Will you agree with me? Focusing only on Passion or Need will not bring long Success. It must go together.
