I have a good friend who i might call him as generalist since he is competent with many skills. He always shares me his past experiences such as how he worked, tried and managed his life. I am happy to hear from him and spend lots of time together for outing, dinner and of course some drinks. When we get into the restaurant, sometime he said,"Look! I can talk to their manager because the staff here are unprofessional and can't provide a good service...i can teach them how to serve the customers." Yes .. i know he can tech ... When we attend e-commerce seminar together, he told me that "We should start some e-commerce and online business. This is the trend today and we should follow." Yes i see he spends many hours on internet and may be he can grow very fast in doing online business. On the way back from the city, we see full of tourist in a bus and he said,"I know many tourist are coming to this city. If we do travel business, we can make lots of money." Yes, i know he travels a lot and has been to many overseas countries. So, i think he can make lots of money by doing travel business. In deed, he is a great guy!
Later, he invited to join his business but i started to confuse because i really don't know which business to join. Teaching customer service or doing online marketing or running travel business. I do some personal research and found a proverb saying that "Jack of all trades, master of none." Then i recall my mind and remember someone told me that "Focus is vital and put it in hours. You can't do everything but focus on specific thing and you will success."
