"FaceBook is just for the young people to have fun and YouTube is to enjoy different sorts of short videos or entertainment from some people" he said. He continued that for him, doing business is all about sales and if marketing can not give sale, just wasting his time. But how about branding, public relationship or content sharing of the company? i never heard of that during our conversation.
Recently, a marketing consultant also told me that he never read his friend's twitter post and he doesn't want to know what his friend is doing and updating on FaceBook too. Then he asked me why social marketing ...? But he doesn't know marketing research proved that 78% participating on company branded or managed social networks on Facebook, LinkedIn etc, 63% do microblogs on Twitter, JaiKu etc, 63% share contents on multimedia sites like YouTube, Flickr, SlideShare etc and another 59% use blogs. What else more?
Then i would conclude social marketing depends on how we use and whom we connect.
